Astrology Sign of Aries

Ruling Planet – Mars

Corresponding House – 1st House

Crystals – Tiger’s Eye, Aventurine, Diamond & Topaz

Affirmation – “I love myself just as I am. I accurately see myself as the Divine being I am and I no longer need to base this view of myself on the opinions of others.”

Personality Traits – Aries can be a bit of a drama king or queen. They want to be surrounded by people who can listen to their problems and cheer for them in their corner. Because of this, there is a inner drive to get as many people involved in what’s going on as they can; this is just their way of drumming up support. This happens because Aries is here to work on issues of self-worth and a big part of that lesson is learning that it comes from within. In order to learn that, it first must come through the lens of having many other mirrors around Aries to teach them about themselves. Aries has conquered this lesson when they learn that self-worth is absolute, and is not based on the attention or adoration of others.

In a Relationship – Aries can be fickle at first. They have a mental list of traits that they seek in a partner and if you don’t measure up right away (or if Aries can’t get you to conform to those standards) they are not going to stick around for very long. But, if the Aries has done the self-healing lessons of this sign, then they will become a true reflection of their partner and be in that relationship to assist their partner in learning the lessons that Aries has just mastered. A relationship with Aries can have highs and lows, but they will always support you as long as that support is returned.

Spiritual Health – Aries most likely will not delve wholeheartedly into any one spiritual practice, unless it also supports them on a social level. Aries needs a more active spiritual practice but does well with yoga, walking meditations, group dynamics and other supportive environments.

Emotional Health – Aries likes to feel recognized, but may have a different standard of what this means than other signs in the Zodiac. The challenge for Aries is not only to communicate about this, but also to understand that others need to be recognized in that same way as well.

Mental Health – Aries loves to have a lot of things going on at any one time. This provides them with a sense of fulfillment and purpose. If they do not find things to do, or do not have healthy outlets for this high energy, they can develop ADD, ADHD, OCD or panic disorders.

Physical Health – Aries individuals usually appear quite beautiful to others, but they do not feel that beauty within themselves. Aries will be the first sign of the Zodiac to line up for plastic surgery, anti-aging remedies, body creams, lotions, potions or anything labels as a “beauty enhancer.” They also have to be careful that if they do not look at the underlying emotions related to appreciating themselves and their beauty (both internally and externally), that they can become very out of touch with the true vision of themselves and can develop body dysmorphic disorder, eating disorders and skin problems.

Relationship with Food – Aries generally has no food preferences, as long as they can be involved in the process of bringing the food to the table. This could be by hosting the party, picking out the restaurant or contributing to the recipe in some way. Food, like anything else, can become an extension of the Aries individual. The challenge here for Aries is to not view another’s reaction to food (or anything else) as a reflection of how this person feels toward the Aries individual.
